Augustus Academic Advisory is a private educational advisory practice based in London, working internationally with families across a range of educational systems.
The practice was founded on a single principle: education is best understood as a structured set of developmental conditions, rather than a sequence of institutional stages.
Our work begins with the individual child, and the design of an educational framework that supports intellectual development, coherence, and long-term autonomy over time.
We work with families navigating complex educational pathways across private, state, and international systems, where decisions must be made in relation to both immediate academic needs and long-term trajectory.
At the centre of the practice is a concern with intellectual independence: the capacity for a learner to engage with academic material with clarity, discipline, and self-direction, without over-reliance on external instruction.
In an environment of high educational attainment, intellectual autonomy has not developed at the same pace as academic performance. Our work addresses this imbalance through structured, long-term educational oversight.
The practice draws on work across private education, international curricula, and individual academic development from early years through to university entry, alongside academic training in education and the humanities.
